Slakthusområdet, Stockholm’s meatpacking district is being developed from an industrial area to a vibrant neighbourhood where residential buildings, workspaces, commerce and service blends in with new parks and squares. In stark contrast to the surrounding arenas’ focus on large format entertainment, Slakthusområdet is characterised by small scale experiences within food and culture. Stackelberg & Co together with LaTERRE has secured a land allocation in the first phase and plans to develop apartment buildings with approximately 120 units, and several commercial spaces. The concept of the development is done by Stackelberg & Co in partnership with Andreas Martin-Löf Architects.
